These terms are an agreement between you and Debate App (operated by Yassin Mohamud) ("we", "us"). By using Debate App you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Who can use Debate App

You must be 18 or older. We may ask you to confirm your age and may close accounts that don't meet this rule.

2. Your account

  • Give accurate information (including your date of birth) and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person per account. Don't sell, share or transfer accounts.

3. Community rules

Debate hard, but respectfully. You must not post or stream:

  • harassment, bullying, hate speech or threats;
  • sexual content;
  • illegal content, or content that encourages illegal acts;
  • impersonation of another person or organization;
  • spam, scams or misleading promotions.

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules, at our discretion.

4. Debates and live streams

You're responsible for what you say and show. Debates and streams may be recorded, and recordings, replays, chat and votes may be shown to other users in the app.

5. Gem points (馃拵)

  • Gem points are a virtual currency you buy with money to use inside the app.
  • They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred outside the app.
  • Purchases are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund, or when a Talk request is declined or expires (the held points are refunded automatically).

6. Ways to spend points

  • Donations and tips send points to a creator.
  • Boosts add to a creator's score. Boosts can affect rankings and debate results.
  • Talk in the stream costs 200 points. The points are held until the streamer accepts; requests expire after 60 seconds if not accepted, and declined or expired requests are refunded.
  • Premium voices cost 300 or 350 points for 30 days. They don't auto-renew.
  • Ad-free lasts 30 days and doesn't auto-renew.

7. Creator earnings and payouts

  • Creators receive donations, tips and boosts minus a 15% platform fee, and may earn watch-time earnings paid by the platform.
  • Payouts are made through PayPal. You must be 18+ and have a PayPal account in good standing.
  • We may withhold, reverse or cancel earnings connected to fraud, abuse, chargebacks or rule violations.

8. Ads

The app may show ads, including ads for our own features. You can remove ads by buying Ad-free.

9. Signing in with other services

If you sign in with Google or TikTok, your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

10. Your content and our app

You keep ownership of the content you create. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, stream and share it in order to run and promote Debate App. The app itself, its name and design belong to us.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Debate App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Views expressed by users are their own. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for user content, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Ending your account

You can stop using the app and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Unused points have no cash value when an account ends.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are important we'll let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the operator resides.
